Tables: Printing Tables
If you wish to print a selected table, or a table you have
created as a result of a search, select the print
icon at the top of the table. A new screen containing the table
will load. Go to the file menu in the browser menu and select
‘Page Setup’. Set the printer's Orientation
to Landscape in order to get wider output of tables.
Setting the Orientation to Landscape is different
for each printer style. Most printers allow you to change it
after selecting Print... from the File menu. Once
you change the orientation, it remains as the default while
your browser is still open. If you close the browser, it will
change the orientation back to Portrait. Return
to the table and select the ‘Print’ button from the table manipulation
tools.
Note that in the case of very large tables some of the
columns will appear on subsequent pages. This is due
to the way most browser applications handle printing. This
feature will be fixed in future versions of the Handbook.
It is also possible to copy and paste tables into other applications.
To export tables, follow the instructions above for printing,
but, instead of printing, use your browser 'copy' function to
copy the new screen and then paste it into your application
(e.g. MS Excel).

Tables: Viewing Chemical Structures
To view a structure of a chemical compound in a table, select
the compound (by selecting the row in which the compound is
found) and click on the 'Chemical Structure'
icon in the relevant row. The structure will then appear in
separate window. Note that this option will only be active if
there is a structure for that compound in the database.

Exporting Data
Once you have located data within a table you
are able to export the data (up to 25 rows) and download it
to your machine as an MS Excel file. To do this click on the
'Export Current View' icon .
A new window will load with the option to download the file
to a location of your own choosing.
