Drawing structures

Having obtained the plugin it is possible to draw a chemical structure or substructure as a search item. To do this decide whether you wish to search for a sub-structure or for a complete structure match and then click the 'Draw Query' button (see below).

The drawing plugin

A new window, as illustrated below, will then open. For further information on how to draw chemical structures please consult the help menu within CCD.

When you have completed drawing your structure or sub-structure you simply click the 'add structure to search query' button which will take you to the screen shown on the following page. Then choose either 'Exact Match' or 'Substructure' and then press 'Submit Search'.
