Beginning to search the database

Upon entering the database you will be presented with the screen illustrated below. It is from here that you will launch your searches. The first thing to note is that you will need to download the 'plugin' whicd enables you to conduct a structure search, by clicking on the 'get plugin' option in the navigation menu. .

One of the most practical benefits of this database search system is that you can make your search more specific by using multiple parameters. For instance, you can draw a basic chemical structure and combine this with another parameter or set of parameters.

In the following pages a multi-parameter search will be demonstrated, combining a chemical structure with another parameter to narrow the search down to a more specific group of substances.
